I’d like to kick off by giving my congratulations to Swilda
for pulling this one off.
Swilda, better known
as the incredibly talented, very unconventional award winning actress Tilda Swinton was chosen to be the new
face of the Chanel 2013 pre-fall advertising campaign. The brand’s Métiers d’Art
Paris-Edinburgh collection was here for the perfect opportunity to use the
Scottisch born Swilda as the face of their campaign.
I feel a tad of joy myself for Swilda’s accomplishments
because just like her, my heritage lies in this very beautiful country of Scotland. I
may not have been brought up anywhere near Scotland nor know anyone else who was,
yet I feel slightly proud.

I must say, I think she will make the perfect fit for the
collection’s knits, kilts, tweeds and
plaids.
Kaiser Karl, better known as the Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Chanel said the following : "Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection. She is
of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon
of elegance," and as Karl speaks, I'm sure his empire of
followers and admirers just like me will follow this opinion.
